I first heard about the company over a year and a half ago from my dear friend Heather, who had bought and loved some of the products. She was not interested in the business so she passed some Arbonne information on to me. Fast forward to the end of April, 2008: I was in partnership with my good friend Sue Clary at McCartee's Barn, an Antiques and Fine Arts shop, on East Broadway in Salem, and I went to the annual Womens' Health Day as a vendor to get a bit of advertising for McCartee's Barn. Across the room was the Arbonne table and 2 lovely women, my now sponsor Darlene King and my now Executive National Vice President Aldis Higgins. I left the Health day with the gold bag filled with the Nutrimin C Re9 Anti-aging Skin Care System, and a giddy feeling that I was on to something BIG. I looked more closely at the business, which has a wonderful compensation plan for anyone committed to the rewarding work it takes. I told my partner Sue that I was going do both (Our shop and ARBONNE), which I did for a time until I realized that Arbonne really is my calling. Sue is doing a fabulous job at McCartee's Barn. I have lived in Salem, New York for 27 years. My home town in the Finger Lakes is Watkins Glen. My husband, Harry, and I met in an art class when we both attended New Paltz, and we have been together for 38 years. He is a landscape painter. Since all of them are on their own paths now, Harry and I share our humble home with Lurabelle (collie / border collie mix) and Joni Mitchell, Atticus and Doug. (3 Great Cats) I collect china and other collectables decorated with images of Eastern Bluebirds. They just make me happy! I still have family in the Finger Lakes, but my parents and one sibling are now in California. ( I would love to have an ARBONNE team in each of those locations, plus NYC and Puerto Rico, etc. as well :c) I really want to help take away my husband's stress of selling paintings in these economic times by building my Arbonne business. I am looking for a few people who also have a strong reason to change things in their lives and for the lives of their loved ones. I am committed to teach and train them to do what I do.
